Concussion Recovery: Research and You

Improving the way we manage head injury - have your say

NIBS in attention study

Attention difficulties are common after traumatic or acquired brain injury, especially in children and young adults. This study is exploring a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation technique combined with attention training that may help improve attention without medication.

The program is designed to be easy for families, with sessions completed at home for around 20-45 minutes a day over 2 weeks, supported by our research team.

Previous research has shown this approach to be safe and well-tolerated, and we are now exploring how effective it may be in improving attention.

Other Research

The University of Queensland is conducting other research projects which investigate new ways to assess and treat brain injury.

We are looking at the brain communication pathways after injury and

how brain stimulation can help improve outcomes.
